CELA International University in Miami Florida this September 2015 was honored to present Dr. Clyde Rivers with the prestigious Vision of Excellence Award for the peace and education he has dedicated his life to promote around the world. Dr. Rivers received the honor from Dr. Gabriel Nester Kost. Rivers said, “I am overwhelmed by this grand jester of honor for my work around the world. I don’t take this award lightly and will continue to encourage people around the world to value life and strive to discover their God-given potential and contribution to our world.”

Ambassador Rivers is a World Peace Ambassador and the Representative for the Golden Rule International and the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative, North American Division to the United Nations – New York. Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative is affiliated with the Department of Public Record (DPI) – United Nations as well as affiliated with the United Religious Initiative (URI), an Interfaith Peace organization. INTERNATIONAL CHANCELLOR AND WORLD PEACE AMBASSADOR SPEAKS IN COLOMBIA SOUTH AMERICA

In July 2015, Golden Rule World Peace Ambassador Dr. Michal P. Pitzl addressed the youth at the Youth Empowerment Conference – HEY – in San Andres, Colombia. Dr. Pitzl skillfully challenged the youth that were present to tap into their greatness and live unlimited in their thinking. As a World Peace Ambassador and an educator Dr. Michal knows the value of honor and education and that every life is valuable and can make a difference in the world. She presented an animated challenging message to the youth of this conference.

Dr. Michal Pitzl is one of the youngest Chancellors for an International Online College and Seminary. She has lectured and trained instructors internationally for several years. Prof. Michal has developed multicultural curriculum for online distance learning and instructor training worldwide. Her academic degrees include Bachelors in Human Development & Teaching Certification and a Bachelor in Theology. Prof. Michal also has a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction and a Doctorate in Biblical Counseling and Philosophy of Christian Leadership. She is also the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Divinity, as well as an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Humanities from Fuerza y Honor International – El Salvador. Prof. Michal is also the Co-Founder of the Life Coaching Model for Latin University of Theology.

United Graduate College and Seminary International is in over 50 nations, has over 100,000 graduates and was founded in 1982 by Dr. Martin Wisor. It is a private Christian College and Seminary. She spoke of taking advantage of every opportunity along the path of life to gain education. Professor Pitzl said, “Education opens doors for you to change the world.”

Professor Donella Pitzl is a Golden Rule World Peace Ambassador and represents the Golden Rule, "Treat others the way you want to be treated," around the world. She is also Chancellor of International Operations for United Graduate College and Seminary International working online education globally. She commented, “Online education can be very challenging in nations with poor Internet services but I have some of the greatest students, dedicated to completing their studies regardless of the challenges. These students are changing their world through their education experience and through their determination. That was my challenge to the youth of San Andres – keep learning – it will open doors for advancement in life. See the greatness in each other and take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way.”

DR. CLYDE RIVERS RECEIVES AWARD FROM HAITI

Leconte University presented Professor Dr. Clyde Rivers with an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership in Humanities. The Library of Congress Haiti recognizes Leconte University and it is the first private university in the history of the Republic of Haiti to present this award for tireless effort to bring peace to the world.

The citation given to Dr. Rivers states in part, “Your belief in ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you’  - the Golden Rule, incorporates a belief system that sees no bounds, only ardent activity guided by the grace of God. Through this ideology, you have created a multi-cultural faith based initiative to resolve issues and concerns worldwide… As a World Peace Ambassador your commitment to promote unity and understanding, allows you to surpass obstacles be they culturally, racially or religiously inspired. Universite Leconte D’Haiti welcomes a partnership to utilize your leadership and administrative gifts to collaborate in the restoration of its prominence to the pursuit of education, social and economic development for the people of Haiti. Your vision has brought back the lost art of honor, which has earned you the respect as a distinguished leader among Heads of State, former Presidents, Clergy, Dignitaries and Universities worldwide.”

Professor Rivers said, “It speaks volumes to be honored by a non-religious university for trying to bring unity to the people of the world. Every individual born in this world is valuable to the world and especially valuable to God. So we must protect the image of God in every individual born in this world.”

UGCSI ALUMNI - FIRST LADY OF THE REPUBLIC OF BURUNDI AFRICA RECEIVES AWARD FROM LATIN AMERICA

On August 5, 2014 in Washington DC, the Christian Latin Business Association Humanitarian Award was presented to the First Lady of Burundi Africa, Denise Nkurunziza. The award was presented to the First Lady by Alama Vision Television personality, Celina Gonzalez. Celina Gonzalez commented, “We are honored and privileged to present the First Lady of Burundi with this prestigious award for her outstanding work to help the underprivileged of the world, as well as, the work she is doing through the Buntu Foundation in Burundi to empower women.” The Christian Latin Business Association Humanitarian Award is presented to leading humanitarians globally.

Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers said, “The First Lady of Burundi has an Honorary Doctorate with United Graduate College and Seminary International. It is an honor to have one of our Alumni with such a life style of helping and encouraging widows in her country. She is a leader that is doing the job of empowering women. First Lady Denise Nkurunziza also is the leader of The Buntu Foundation. Her foundation is in the process of building a city to help the underprivileged in her country.”

In San Jose, California on October 18, 2014, UGCSI Chief Chancellor, Dr. Clyde Rivers was surprised and honored by the presentation of the Martin Luther King Legacy of Peace Award.  The President of the Martin Luther King Foundation, of the Santa Clarita Valley, Kathleen Flynn and the Mayor of San Jose, Chuck Reed and other respected officials, presented the award to Dr. Clyde Rivers.

The Martin Luther King Foundation has been active in the Santa Clarita Valley for well over 30 years. Every year this organization chooses to honor the top mountain movers whose lives are representative of the great work Dr. Martin Luther King accomplished in his life, Civil Rights Laws in the United States of America. Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers said, “I’m very humbled by the Legacy of Peace Award from the pioneer of peace, Dr. Martin Luther King through this prestigious foundation.”

There is great work being accomplished by Ambassador Rivers and the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative, Golden Rule International Award, as well as Dr. Clyde Rivers’ organization, iChange Nations.
