Dr. Clyde Rivers Wins Congressional Peace Award

In Chicago, Illinois on October 29, 2017 at the Congressional Gala Award Night, Dr. Clyde Rivers, Chief Chancellor of United Graduate College and Seminary International and Founder and President of iChange Nations™ won the first Danny K. Davis Peace Prize Award.

Congressman Danny K. Davis is a legendary Congressman fighting to better the lives of all people in his Congressional District in the State of Illinois. He is a legendary Congressman working with entities like the Multi-Ethnic Advisory Task Force.

“This is one of the biggest honors of my life to receive the first Peace Prize Award in the name of this icon Danny K. Davis, a true public servant paving the way and mentoring the next generation,” says Dr. Rivers. He goes on to say, “Congressman Danny K. Davis is teaching and exemplifying ethics and integrity in the political arenas. He is a true statesman for all politicians to look up to. UGCSI Chancellor Speaks at Invest and Lead Summit in Burundi

Chancellor, Professor Michal P. Pitzl joins business men and women from around the world at the 1st Edition Burundi Invest and Lead Summit in Burundi, Africa. The summit consisted of a conference and country tour to connect and partner with various businesses throughout Burundi. Prof. Michal Pitzl remarks, “Nowhere have I ever seen an entire nation build itself so strategically and with integrity as in Burundi. Such a small nation, yet so powerful in vision and purpose. It is an honor to partner with Burundi to build a nation.”

The nation of Burundi is investing in the young generation to build a brighter future for Burundi. This February at Delaware State University, Chief Chancellor for United Graduate College and Seminary Intl., Dr. Clyde Rivers led a global forum to help facilitate the change of dialogue regarding the New Africa. Dr. Clyde Rivers is also Founder and President of iChange Nations™.  In a forum he engaged highly esteemed members of Delaware State University in a very important dialogue expressing a change the conversation over Africa. Rivers said, “As the world knows, Africa is a prosperous continent with its minerals and resources. What I see as one of its most important resource are its people. United Graduate College and Seminary International honored Hon. Winston Garraway with an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities on Saturday February 6, 2016 at the Youth Center in St. George Grenada. Hon. Garraway was honored for his outstanding labors for the betterment of his people in Grenada. Our Honor System has established a new culture. It is a culture that believes the ones that have done the job are worthy to receive the same title as those that have labored in the education system. An Honorary Award is given for what has been accomplished by the recipient. United Graduate College and Seminary International recognizes Hon. Garraway as an individual worthy of this honor. Dr. Eric Melwani, Representative for United Graduate College and Seminary International, along with Dr. Charles Karuku presented this Honorary Doctorate to Hon. Garraway. We are proud to welcome him to our UGCSI family.

Hon. Winston Garraway, Minister of State, Ministry of Youth, Sports and Religious Affairs and National Disaster Management Agency, has served his people in building outstanding leaders of all ages through training that has empowered, equipped and encouraged. He helped to establish a youth movement called, Youth on the Move. This movement, lead by the youth, was successful in establishing the furthering of community-based activities. Dr. Garraway served his people and community in the area of Sports Administration that in part led to his appointment in the Senate. As the Sports Administrator he was able to implement female Basketball into the Secondary schools and was instrumental in securing 15 athletic scholarships for both male and female student into Basketball programs in universities and colleges in the United States of America. Hon. Garraway continues to fulfill his life’s goals to better his people as he works alongside parents in the St. George’s Beaulieu New Testament School system.

Leconte University presented Professor Dr. Clyde Rivers with an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership in Humanities. The Library of Congress Haiti recognizes Leconte University and it is the first private university in the history of the Republic of Haiti to present this award for tireless effort to bring peace to the world.

Professor Rivers said, “It speaks volumes to be honored by a non-religious university for trying to bring unity to the people of the world. Every individual born in this world is valuable to the world and especially valuable to God. So we must protect the image of God in every individual born in this world.”

RUEBEN EGOLF OF THE UNITED STATES NATIONAL PRAYER COUNCIL RECEIVES HONORARY DOCTORATE IN HUMANITIES

On March 18, 2015 in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania Reuben Egolf received an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from United Graduate College and Seminary International for his service to humanity, his integral leadership and his love for mankind. Pastor Egolf is the Washington D.C. Capital Director for United States National Prayer Council.

The United Graduate College and Seminary International was founded in 1982 by Dr. Martin Wisor and is in over 50 nations and has over 100,000 graduates. In San Jose, California on October 18, 2014, UGCSI Chief Chancellor, Dr. Clyde Rivers was surprised and honored by the presentation of the Martin Luther King Legacy of Peace Award.  The President of the Martin Luther King Foundation, of the Santa Clarita Valley, Kathleen Flynn and the Mayor of San Jose, Chuck Reed and other respected officials, presented the award to Dr. Clyde Rivers.

The Martin Luther King Foundation has been active in the Santa Clarita Valley for well over 30 years. Every year this organization chooses to honor the top mountain movers whose lives are representative of the great work Dr. Martin Luther King accomplished in his life, Civil Rights Laws in the United States of America. Ambassador Dr. Clyde Rivers said, “I’m very humbled by the Legacy of Peace Award from the pioneer of peace, Dr. Martin Luther King through this prestigious foundation.”

There is great work being accomplished by Ambassador Rivers and the Interfaith Peace-Building Initiative, Golden Rule International Award, as well as Dr. Clyde Rivers’ organization, iChange Nations. The Theory of Christian Psychology Comes From the Worldview That Sees Humanity as the Object of a Love Relationship with Jesus Christ – Part 1

Christian Psychology is more commonly called "Biblical Psychology." While it is true that the Bible was not written as a textbook on psychology, and it nowhere sets forth any complete psychology theories, yet we shall see that we are correct in formulating a system of biblical psychology. The Bible no more seeks to set forth a system of psychology than it does of ethics, theology, or any other science. Every subject of the Word of God grows throughout the Bible as the Holy Spirit adds details, here by a type, there by the recounting of some historical dealing of God with sinner or saint, sometimes by explicit command, at others by way of illustration, until the growing picture is complete in ethics, morality, philosophy of life, and, therefore, also in Psychology.

The Bible, many times in one verse, will reveal to us more true psychology than all the textbooks ever written on psychoanalysis, that is, the hidden reason for all of man's emotional instability, fear complexes, insecurity, evil fixations, immoral, unethical behavior, frustrations, distractions, anxieties and disintegrations. We are just as correct, therefore, in studying biblical or Christian Psychology as we are studying Christian Ethics, Christian Theology, and Christian Dogma.

Certainly, since we believe that the Bible is the very Word of God and inspired, fully and infallible as given in the original, then it speaks not with the guesses, suppositions, assumptions and errors as man-made sciences; but it speaks with the very wisdom of the God who made man, "And needs not that any should testify of man for He knew what was in man."

When the Bible speaks of sin as the underlying cause of all maladjustments, and disorganization of personality, it speaks with God's own wisdom and it gives the true cause of our behavior pattern. If Psychology is, both the study of man's mental and emotional makeup as well as the study of human behavior, then there is no other source with any comparable degree of authority as the Word of God to unmask the heart and mind of man and to tell him the why of his darkened mind and evil hardened heart.

 Where else can the real permanent total cure be found, psychologically, for all the personality ills of mankind? The Psychologists say the answer is in psychiatry and psychology. God says the answer is in regeneration, which brings a man back into harmony and fellowship with God.

Francis A. Schaeffer says, “The basic psychological problem is trying to be what we are not, and trying to carry what we cannot carry. Most of all, the basic problem is not being willing to be the creatures we are before the Creator.”
